  1. Game Play
  • The Game: This league will use the Fast Break College Basketball 2010 Engine found at www.greydogsoftware.com to simulate all games. Updates will be applied as available.
  • The GCBA Season is roughly 30 – 35 games.
  • Sims will include 15 days’. Schedules will vary depending on time constraints. Normal sim days will be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
  • All roster changes should be in by Midnight the day before a sim, but all roster changes will be downloaded just before running the sims.
  • The league runs on the CENTRAL STANDARD TIME Schedule
  • The league will begin using Fast Break College Basketball 2010 Version.
  • Any participant in the league must have an up to date internet browser. This is just to make sure that the league website functions properly.
  1. The Commissioner
  • The Commissioners duties will consist of but not limited to the overseeing of the league and ruling in a manner that is not a detriment to the leagues future. The Commissioner is responsible for all Simulations, and Roster updates. The Commissioner is also responsible for updating the Web Site, and maintaining order in the league in general. Although not all possible rules can be written, the commissioner reserves the right to take action on anything that would not maintain the integrity of the league.
  1. Participation
  • Participation is mandatory. Attendance in league events is mandatory. Prolonged periods of inactivity or absence from events are grounds for removal from the league.
  • All activities will be held in an on-line chat format.
  1. Offseason Schedule
  • Head Coach Round (will be simmed through when all Human Coaches are done.)
  • Assistant Coach Round (will be simmed through when all Human Coaches are done.)
  • Transfer Player Mode (will be simmed through when all Human Coaches are done.)

  • Training
  1. Recruiting
  • The recruiting period runs from July to the middle of April. Players are first eligible to commit to a school in November.
  • All recruiting actions take place on the individual recruit screen.
  • The first recruiting action to take is to set your call list.
  • A total of 20 recruits may be on your call list at one time.
  • The call list is the list of players who you are showing interest.
  • Once you have set your call list, you may want to decide which players to evaluate.
  • Like all recruiting actions other than calling the player, the cost of the evaluation is based on how far away the player lives from your school.
  • Foreign players always cost the most to recruit.
  • Starting in August, you will have the option to schedule assistant visits, head coach visits, and campus visits for the player.
  • A player will only visit your campus if he currently has you in his list of top 5 schools.

  • We have 6 Conferences with a Prestige of 5. (5 being the highest) Power 6

  1. Coaching Teams
  • All new Coaches will start off at the Level of 7 or 240 point to put into 4 categories. (Recruiting, Scouting, Coaching Off, and Coaching Def)
  • Coaches can coach a 2nd team. Teams must be in different regions and a lower Conference Prestige Level then your 1st Team.
  • 2nd Team Coach Level is: team from conference prestige of 3 or 4 the coach level is 5 or 200 points.
  • 2nd Team Coach Level is: team from conference prestige of 1 or 2 thecoach level is 3 or 160 points.
  1. Pre-Season Tournaments
  • Top of the GCBA Invitational is a pre-season tournament that put the top 8 prestige teams in the tournament. This is MANDATORY to play in.
  • Pre-Season GIT is a pre-season tournament that put the bottom 8 prestige teams in the tournament. This is MANDATORY to play in.
  • All other tournaments are done by invitation only.
  1. Freshmen Naming Rights
  • Every human coach after turn of new season gets to change the name of one incoming freshman. (Freshmen only no JUCO players)
  • The name chosen cannot be a Future, Present, or Past NBA players. (Ex. Air Jordan, Penny Hardaway) 
  • The name chosen cannot be a Present or Past NCAA players.(Ex. Pearl Washington, Scooby Wright)
  1. Misc.
  • There are certainly things that will come up and need to be changed as we go through. Rule changes are 100% at the discretion of the Commissioner. If you are confused about a rule or if there is a case not outlined above, ask the commissioner to make a ruling.
